Collection: Speaker Surrounds
A speaker surround (also called a speaker edge or gasket) is the flexible ring that connects the outer edge of the cone to the speaker basket. It does two jobs at once: sealing the enclosure so air pressure builds correctly behind the cone, and providing the compliance that lets the cone move freely in and out without rocking off-axis. When a surround perishes - drying out, cracking, or tearing away from age - a speaker typically develops buzzing, rattling, distorted mid-bass, or simply goes quiet in that channel, even though the voice coil and magnet are usually still perfectly fine.
We stock surrounds only (no glue or brush included) for repairers who already have adhesive on hand or are doing a partial repair, in both foam and rubber. Foam is the original-equipment material on most vintage hi-fi from the 1970s through 90s and gives an authentic period-correct finish, typically lasting 10-20 years before it needs replacing again. Rubber is more durable and resists moisture and ageing far better, making it a good upgrade choice or the right call for speakers in demanding environments like car audio. Our range covers everything from small 3.5" satellite speakers up to large 15" subwoofers, each listed by precise outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) so you can match it exactly to your old surround or cone.
If you'd prefer everything in one purchase - two surrounds, T7000 adhesive, a brush and instructions - take a look at our Repair Kits collection instead. If you're unsure which surround fits your speaker, drop us a message with your make and model and we'll confirm before you order.
