5 inch surrounds are one of our most popular sizes, fitting the midrange and small woofer drivers used throughout vintage and modern bookshelf speakers, with outer and inner diameters both commonly around 125mm and 80mm on the models we stock, though it's worth checking your own driver against these figures. Foam and rubber are both available at this size, so you can match the original surround material or choose rubber for a more durable rebuild. As with all our sizes, you can buy the surround only for a straightforward DIY replacement, or a complete repair kit with two surrounds, T7000 adhesive, a brush and full instructions for re-edging a whole pair.

Always measure the outer edge of the basket rather than the cone itself, and take the inner diameter at the cone's paper edge, to make sure the surround you order will seat correctly.
