Will it fit my speaker?

  • OD 247 mm
  • ID 177 mm
  • Foam
  • 10" driver

You need this if: the foam ring is crumbling, cracked or missing, the bass sounds weak or "farty", or the cone rattles at volume.

Fit questions

Do I get one surround or a pair?

A pair. This kit has 2 surrounds, enough to repair both speakers.

My model isn't listed. Will it still fit?

Measure the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) of your old surround and compare them with the measurements on this page. If you are unsure, contact us with your measurements and speaker model and we will confirm the fit before you order.

Can I use rubber instead of foam (or foam instead of rubber)?

We recommend matching the material of your original surround. Foam and rubber differ in weight and stiffness, which changes how the woofer moves and how the bass sounds.

ARRIVED PROMPTLY. PACKED IN PLASTIC POSTAGE ENVELOPE, WHICH ALSO DISPLAYED A "FRAGILE" STICKER. I WAS SOMEWHAT SURPRISED THE 10 INCH SPEAKER SURROUNDS, NOT BEING ENCLOSED WITHIN A PROTECTIVE CARBOARD PACKAGE. CONTENTS UNDAMAGED AND APPEAR TO BE OF VERY GOOD QUALITY AND EXCELLENT VALUE.

Presumably all good, had to move the project aside for a little while. Slight concern the roll size is smaller than on the original's but as they don't move a ton of air will likely be fine. Arrived fast and at a good price including glue, brush and instructions. I will use low tones to ensure centring is exact before gluing the surround to the basket.
