McIntosh speakers are prized by collectors for their build quality, and drivers like the 036071 (8841)/36075 unit are still routinely restored rather than replaced. Even McIntosh's well-engineered foam surrounds succumb to age eventually, drying out and cracking until the cone loses its proper support, resulting in a buzzy, loose or noticeably weaker bass. We stock foam repair kits for McIntosh's common driver sizes, from 6.5" up to 10", matched to the correct OD/ID for the 8841/36075 and equivalent models.

Each kit includes two surrounds, T7000 adhesive, an application brush and full instructions, enough to refoam a matched pair of speakers in one order. Given how sought-after original McIntosh drivers are, refoaming is almost always the better option over sourcing a replacement unit.
