MCS (Modular Component Systems) was JCPenney's in-house hi-fi brand through the 70s and 80s, and models like the 683-8224/681-8329/683-8231 and the 8320/8322/683-8225 series are still found in plenty of lofts and living rooms. The foam surrounds on these drivers are now decades old and have almost always hardened, cracked or crumbled away from the cone, causing buzzing, rattling or a serious loss of bass. We stock foam repair kits for MCS's common sizes, 8" and 10", matched to the correct OD/ID for these model ranges.

Each kit includes two surrounds, T7000 adhesive, an application brush and full instructions, enough to refoam a matched pair of speakers in one order. It's an affordable way to bring an old MCS speaker back into service rather than retiring it for good.
