JL Audio built its reputation on high-output car audio subwoofers, and models like the 12W6v2 and the compact 6W0 series see hard use with large excursions that put constant strain on the surround. Whether foam or the rubber surrounds more typical of car subs, the material eventually tears, hardens or separates from the cone, especially in a vehicle where heat and moisture accelerate the process, resulting in a flapping, buzzing or badly distorted low end. We stock foam repair kits sized for JL Audio's common subwoofer diameters, from 6" up to 12", matched to the OD/ID of the 6W0 and 12W6v2 ranges.

Each kit includes two surrounds, T7000 adhesive, an application brush and full fitting instructions, giving you what you need to refoam a single sub or a matched pair. It's a cost-effective way to get a JL Audio subwoofer back to full output without buying a replacement driver.
