Collection: Speaker Repair Glue & Surround Adhesive
We use and recommend T7000 adhesive for every surround repair, and it's the glue included in all our repair kits. It's a black, flexible, semi-solvent adhesive that cures with enough give to move with a speaker cone rather than turning brittle and cracking like a rigid glue would - important on a part that flexes thousands of times a day during normal listening. It bonds well to foam, rubber, paper cones, treated fabric and the metal or plastic of the speaker basket, and dries to a clean, low-odour finish.
We stock T7000 in a 15ml tube, enough for a single surround replacement or a small touch-up repair, and a 50ml tube for larger jobs, multiple speakers, or if you're a habitual repairer keeping some in stock. For best results, clean the basket and cone thoroughly first (our prep wipes are ideal for this), apply a thin, even bead rather than a thick blob, and give the glue the full cure time stated on the tube before reassembling or testing the speaker - rushing this step is the most common cause of a repair failing early. If you're unsure how much you need for your repair, drop us a message with your speaker's size and we'll advise.
