Design Acoustics built its name on the distinctive Point Source (PS) driver arrays fitted into wall and ceiling speakers throughout the 1980s, and models like the PS-3, PS-8b and the various PS-10 revisions turn up regularly in UK homes today. The foam surrounds on these mid-size drivers are usually the first part to fail, going stiff and cracking with age, which lets the cone flop out of alignment and produces a buzzing or rattling sound under bass. We stock foam repair kits covering the common Design Acoustics sizes from 5" through to 10", matched to the OD/ID of the PS-series drivers listed above.

Each kit includes a pair of surrounds, T7000 adhesive, a fitting brush and clear instructions, giving you everything you need to refoam both speakers in a matched set. It's a straightforward weekend job that brings these point-source drivers back to their original tight, controlled bass without hunting down a replacement unit.
